Neo Tokyo after the World War III is the stage of this story. A battle of boys and girls who was transformed into super weapon and named as numbers, and competition over “AKIRA”, with a super powered numbered 28, among government, army, guerrilla and groups of bike gangs. This is a cyber action of deadly story of bike gangs, Kaneda and Tetsuo Shima and others who get involved while chasing their buddies who became aware of their super powers.
People over the world, especially creators, were attracted to such a devastating and powerful vision of the world and detailed picture. The fact that it sold more overseas than in Japan proves its influence.
