The story of a road to basketball by starting “Do you like basketball?”
A red haired gang, Hanamichi Sakuragi, who was turned by 50 women during three years of junior high. When he enters Shohoku High School, he was asked to join the basketball team by Haruko Akagi, who he was in love with at the first sight, in which team there was his brother as a captain.
He started playing just to get her interested in him, but ends up getting involved deeply. While he gets jealous of an elite player, Kede Rukawa, who Haruko is in love with, Hanamichi continues his life with basketball.
A forever remembered story which started basketball boom with attractive characters, good lines and hot games.
