The amazing world with seemingly cute animals

A comic with a story of everyday life in the wood with main characters; Honobono, an easygoing see otter who sometimes thinks philosophically, a chipmunk who has a habit of saying “teasing?” and short-tempered coon, who gets angry easily and becomes violent.
This is an amazing story with animals which usually are not used in comics. It looks idyllic at first, but if you read it closely, you may find it more often philosophical, ironic or unreasonable.

You could have a warm feeling if you read it with an empty mind.

Everybody thinks that this is my home!
Mikan is an ordinary high school girl, who lives with her brother, Yuzuhiko, her quite father, and her mother. Mikan’s worry is her mother, who has strange behavior and mind. She is self-centered and does things at her own pace but is a lovable person. This is a knockabout story of everyday life in“her home” with such a mother.

Her mother and father’s behavior seem to be unbelievable. When you look at them closely, however, you will find them somehow similar to your family and can’t help smiling. You will find it very interesting little by little. You should be able to enjoy the story more if you can put friendships of Mikan and Yuzuhiko, or their movement of their feelings into yourself or people around you.

An extra comic at the end of each book is also interesting and the more you read it, the more you can know about this and find it interesting. You can get more than you pay. The main story is being on the Yomiuri Sunday paper, and made into an animation.

Is he a genius? This is a comedy at clinic of a mad doctor Haruka Nishikikouji’s.

Haruka Nishikikoji owns Shirobara Clinic and is also a school doctor at junior high school, but in real, he was a mad science, or mad doctor.

You can just enjoy the story without thinking, such as confused actions of his fiancé and nurse, Miyuki, and his junior high students. There are humongous germs and espers from other world or unthinkable phenomena and creatures appears at the last half of story, which makes this knockabout story more exciting.

Master comic artist, Fujihiko Hosono is lately known for his serious comics such as “Gallery Fake”, “Double Face” and “Taro”. This is one of his few knockabout comedy comics that you can find. If you are fan of him, must read it.

This is an all time best seller with 2 million copies sold. It was made into an animation and DVD, which also had a huge hit.

Firestorm caused by Ryotsu Kankichi, a police officer at the downtown of Tokyo.
A long-term comic about ado by an extraordinary police officer, Kankichi Ryotsu at a small police office at Arikame in Katsuhika district in downtown of Tokyo. The short version of the title is “Kochi-kame”
There are many characters in this story; Chief Nakagawa, who is a son of Nakagawa Konzern but for some reason become a police officer, other police officers with unique characters such as Reiko, who also comes from a rich family, Kida, who changes his personality once he gets on the motorcycle. At this office, there are various cases happen which are human touched, maniac or high-technical cases.

It was made into an animation, a movie and a live action version.
