A skillful surgeon who lives an isolated island to save lives.

A surgeon Kensuke Goto moved into an isolated island Kojikishima, where is located 6 hours by ship from a mainland.

He was working at a university hospital in Tokyo as a skillful surgeon but moved to a local clinic because of his medical misjudgment and false accusation. He felt responsibility for the life that he could not saved and asked for relocation to an island where there was no doctor.

He was not welcomed by people in the island at first but his efforts to help lives sincerely with a nurse Ayaka Hoshino is accepted by the people. Now he is depended on by everyone and called “Dr. Koto”

This comic of skillful surgeon becomes very popular for stories of people’s relationships in the island, economical problems, and Dr. Koto’s background. This is made into a TV drama series featuring by Hidetaka Yoshioka.

Pinoko, who thinks herself as “the wife of Black Jack” and was born under the strange fate, and Black Jack are trying to help lives as much as they can. His rival, Dr. Kiriko, is for euthanasia, on the other hand, Black Jack gives lives to people even there are harsh futures ahead of them.

This is a dram of a “life” created by Osamu Tezuka, who is called a God of comics and also is a medical doctor himself.
